I had another follow visit today. Everything checked out so just set to go back again in 2 weeks. The picture on the left is from last week @ 33 weeks. The picture below was taken today (@ 34 weeks). It really seemed to be sticking out a ton to both me and Rick.

We are looking forward to Christmas. Lots of visiting with family coming up :).

Here is my week 31 picture.

We had another checkup this week. Everything still checks out great, so that is good. This past weekend Jilly's grandma and auntie had a baby shower for us. We had fun playing charades. Although I still don't know what a sail boat has to do with babies so much. Thanks to everyone for coming and for the gifts! :)

I did take another video while at the doctors office. If you look at the left side of my tummy you can see that it is raised. When she moves the doppler over to listen to the heart beat you can see it fall back down. This was actually the first time I noticed her moving while at the doctors office.

Here is my week 30 belly photo. Also we had a checkup today, which is becoming more frequent since we now go in every 2 weeks. Everything checked out well including all the 3rd trimester labs.

I got a good "video" of the heart beat today. If I had good timing I could get a good one of my "belly dancing."

Yesterday Rick was able to feel a limb poking out on my right side. He thought that was pretty neat. She is definitely a very wiggly girl!

Week 27/Travel System

Here is my picture from week 27. Which according to one of my books is the last week of the 6th month making it the last week of the 2nd trimester. According to my other book it is the first week of the third trimester. Either way we are getting closer to meeting Jillian!!

I was able to get my H1N1 flu shot last week. I was only able to get it because I had called in on got on a list with my OB. Then over the weekend I got a cold... so it is possible getting the vaccine caused me to get a cold, but it is also possible they are not at all related. I was concerned about the cold symptoms so I did talk to my OB on Monday. Since I didn't have a fever they were certain it is just a cold and recommended rest. I am feeling much better today.

Last week we got the travel system in. An early gift from grandma and grandpa for little miss Jillian. She isn't going to be spoiled or anything.... In case you are wondering, yes I put her dolly in her car seat to take the picture :).

New Dresser & Cute Outfits!

Here is my belly @ 26 weeks. I did go in for a checkup again this month back on 10-12-09. Everything checked out fine so that is good. At my next appointment they will be doing some more labs... I don't like having blood drawn very much.

Just last night we got Jillian's dresser in and assembled. My parents were nice enough to help me with this project which took us about 2.5 hours. The dresser itself came in 30 pieces (not including the hardware)! Below you will see a picture of the finished product. I think it turned out well. The piece on the top that makes the changing tables sides is removable, which I think will be nice when she gets older.

Here is the dolly that Jillian's grandma got her along with some outfits she has been given. Thanks to Candia, Sarah, Beth, and of course grandma for the clothes.

Rick felt the baby kick!/ Guessing Game

After about a week and a half of failed attempts Rick was finally able to feel the baby move. This past Monday (9-7-09, also week 19) was when he got to feel the movement. Typically as soon as he would put his hand on my belly the baby would stop, I guess it was being shy.

BTW: The picture here is from the end of week 19.
We have made people play the "guessing game" as to what we are having. And the results are in:

Great Grandma Mariagness: Girl
Great Grandma Pat: Girl

Grandma Melanie: Girl
Grandma Karen: Girl
Grandpa Wayne: Boy
Grandpa Rick: Boy
Aunt Anna: Girl
Uncle Brian: Girl
Aunt Sue: Girl
Uncle Gary: Boy
Uncle John: Girl

FRIENDS
Candi: Girl
Cory: Girl
Hanna: Girl
Sarah: Girl
Craig: Boy
Beth: Girl

The ultrasound is set for tomorrow at 9am, so we will see if the baby is feeling shy or not.

FETAL MOVEMENTS

I felt the first movements I recognized as the baby this past Saturday (8-22-09). I was of course sitting quietly in bed and felt about 4 flutters in a row. I wasn't sure of what it was of first but when it happened a few times in a row I figured it out. The books I have all say you should start to feel movement between 16-20 weeks. I was right at the end of week 16 beginning of week 17.

Since then I have also been feeling a few little thumps here and there. The baby likes to move around in the afternoons while I am sitting at my desk or when I sit down in the evening. It is interesting to me how they seem to be in different places each time. The baby is certainly busy moving all around.

Week 16

Here is my 16 week photo. I can definitely tell a difference. I like how my dog is looking up at me like what the heck are you doing.

I had another follow up appointment today. Everything is progressing at the rate they like to see. They took measurements and said that I was right on target. The lady who did the doppler today is the ultra sound tech and had said not to worry if it takes her a while to find the heartbeat. She said she was used to being able to see the baby on the ultrasound screen. So the comment you hear (if you can hear it) was related to this. She didn't actually have any trouble and found the heartbeat right away.

The ultrasound has been scheduled for September's appointment. We are hoping to find out if we are expecting a boy or girl at that time. We are both very much looking forward to this and are also hoping the baby cooperates.

Week 12 - Dr's Appointment

I had another follow up appointment today. Just the usual checking the weight, blood pressure, measuring me, and listening for the heart beat. Everything checked out good. I have gained a couple pounds which must be within acceptable range because they didn't say anything about it.

We did take the digital camera in with us to the visit to record sound. Except I found this camera doesn't have just a sound setting so instead we have a video of nothing, but you can hear the heart beat :)! I go back again in 4 weeks.

Week 8 - Dr Appt

I had a doctors appointment today, but nothing much to report. We got to hear the heartbeat on the doppler for the first time today. It had a nice strong beat which was really neat to hear.

I go back in 4 weeks for another checkup.

Week 7 - History Appointment

June 15, 2009

I had the first Doctor Appointment today. They tried to find a heat beat with the doppler, but were not successful. However they were able to squeeze me in for a quick ultrasound which quickly found the heartbeat, plus we got to see the baby for the first time. This made it actually seem real.

When I went into the doctors appointment they had estimated I was at nearly 10 weeks, but due to the ultrasound they were able to better date the baby at 7 weeks.

My official due date is January 28, 2010
