Last day of Preschool 5-22-14

At the beginning of the year someone didn't want me to take a picture... so I of course had to replicate the same pose for her last day too :)

We are very proud of how well she can now write her name! The teachers told us for the middle sample she must not have felt much like trying because they ad seen her write it far better than that.

It is hard to believe her first year of preschool has come to an end.  She had tons of fun and made new little friends.  She is going to miss seeing them.  I know a few of her classmates will be coming back next year in her same class, but I'm sure not all of them.

She has learned a lot during her first year at preschool and is looking forward to going back for Pre-K in the fall.

Jillian was excited about finding out what we are having.  She will tell you that now we know we are having a boy.  In fact she wanted to call one of her little friends to tell them.  Of course at the moment she asked that friend was in school... I still need to let her do this!

He was not at all shy about showing off what makes him a boy!

We had our ultrasound today and got a sneak peek at our baby BOY!  We are at 18 weeks and 3 days today.  All the important stuff checked out perfectly.  The ultrasound tech had a bit of fun examining his heart since the spine was casting a shadow over it making it hard to get a good look at.  She tried poking him a bit to change positions which only made him curl up more, ha!  She was finally able to get a satisfactory view and saw all the important parts of the heart!  I don't have a picture of it but there was a really cool view of one of his hands and you could see all of his fingers! 

We are of course way excited!!  Including Big sister!!  It was fun to see her watching the ultrasound screen today.  She was glued.  The heartbeat came across really loud so in true Jillian form she covered her ears!  She thinks that is loud.. she better watch out.. baby cries can be pretty noisy! Jillian also told us that the baby must be sleeping.  His eyes are closed so I will grant her that.

Now to come up with a name for this precious little guy!!

Will it be a Boy or Girl?

17 Weeks

Just this week I have had to really give in and break out the maternity clothes.  I spent some time last night emptying a bunch of my "normal" clothes out and putting maternity ones in their place.
